  2. Scan it with your phone's camera and open the link. The phone joins straight away. No camera? Type the 6-character code and tap the matching number on both screens.

A shared clipboard for any two devices

Move a link from your iPhone to your Windows PC, a code from your Android phone to your Mac, or a snippet between two laptops on Linux and ChromeOS. navaja paste is an online clipboard that works in the browser you already have: no app, no account and no cable.

Everything you send is end-to-end encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it leaves your device. The key lives only on your paired devices, so the server relays text it cannot read and deletes it when it expires. Idle channels close themselves.

Questions

Is navaja paste free?

Yes. It is free to use, with no account and no app to install.

Can navaja read what I paste?

No. Your text is encrypted in your browser with a key that only your paired devices have. Our server only stores and relays scrambled bytes it cannot read, and deletes them when they expire.

Do I need to install an app or sign up?

No. Open navaja.dev/paste in any browser on each device. Pair them with a QR code or a 6-character code and you are ready.

How long do pastes last?

5 minutes by default. You can choose 1 hour, 6 hours or 1 day instead. After that the paste is deleted from the server for good. You can also delete a paste right after copying it.

Do both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi?

No. Pairing works across any networks, for example your phone on mobile data and your laptop on office Wi-Fi. Devices on the same network also see each other under Nearby.

How do I send text from my iPhone to my Windows PC?

Open navaja.dev/paste on the PC and click Start sharing. Point the iPhone camera at the QR code and open the link. Paste the text on the iPhone and press Send. It shows up on the PC, ready to copy.

How much text can I send? Can I send files?

Up to about 64 KB of text per paste, which is plenty for links, code, passwords and notes. Files and images are not supported yet.
